More than 23 years of experience into the world of cooking

I was born the 23rd of January of 1970 in Gwangju (South Korea).

After graduating in Biology from the University Chon Nam – I decided to change my personal and professional path and I went on a long trip to India. Some months later, I moved to Madrid and Barcelona, and finally Mallorca.

In my youth I was already attracted to cooking, and in 1994 I did a traditional Korean cuisine course. But it wasn’t until 2000 when I formalized my professional career as kitchen assistant at the Hotel Son Net (Puigpunyent).

During the following years, I had the opportunity to grow professionally with some of the best chefs of the international scene such as Martín Berasategui, working as an intern at Restaurante Lasarte and Ferràn Adrià, operating as gastronomy researcher at Fundación Alicia.

In addition, I have worked in well-known hotels and restaurants in Mallorca like Fosh Catering, Hotel Marriott Son Antem, Tahini, Hotel Puro, Simply Fosh, Hotel Puro Palma, BiBap y Pedro Mesquida Xino’s as Chef de Cuisine, Chef de Partie and Chef.

At the same time, I majored in the gastronomy sector formalizing my studies with the Grado Superior Profesional de Cocina HORT0408 at Alcari and a post-degree of Alta Cuina in EHIB.

I have also completed specialization studies at Escuela Alcari in different areas, such as: show cooking, desserts and pastries for restaurants, new technologies and advanced techniques, Chef de Partie of fish and meat, Mallorcan wine tasting and traditional cooking.

As for today I can confirm that my love for cuisine is not only determinated for growing professionaly, but also comes from a life path that has lead me from the beginning and which gives me a raision d’etre.
